Ecological products already have a well-established place in our refrigerators, and the bathroom is now next in line. The Vita series “Green people” won the award for “Best ecological series” in the Natural Health Beauty Awards 2008.
Ecological products already have a well-established place in our refrigerators, and the bathroom is now next in line. Both Vita and Esthetique are responding to the ever-increasing demand for green well-being and skincare products, and have launched their new respective series.
Increased demand for green products
“There is a trend in the market that is creating a greater and greater demand for green products,” says market analyst and product manager Gunn Hege Berg at Vita AS. She explains that Sweden and Denmark have advanced much further in this regard than Norway, but that more and more customers are asking for green well-being products also here in Norway.
Vita therefore has therefore presented the auspicious campaign Natural Beauty, which includes ecological, natural and sensitive skincare series.
New ecological series at Vita: Green People
“In this context we chose Green People as our new ecological series. This series is our most ambitious launch this year and will only be available at Vita,” says Berg. In England Green People was named the “Best ecological series” in the Natural Health Beauty Awards 2008.
Grants available for children and young people through an environmental fund
In addition to this campaign, Vita has also established an environmental fund, where the proceeds are to go to children and young people in Norway who can apply to the fund for grants for environmental initiatives.
Natural series for the entire family: Nuxe
Esthetique have great expectations for the new natural skincare series Nuxe.
“Given the increased focus on natural skincare and cosmetics, the launch of Nuxe is important. In our opinion Nuxe will give Esthetique a strong competitive advantage and the possibility to recruit new customers that they do not have today,” says marketing manager Carina Sønsteby at Esthetique. The new skincare series is a less expensive alternative compared to many of the other series, which can represent more products sold per customer.
“Nuxe also has a family series with products for mother, father and children so that the customer can now shop for products for the entire family at Esthetique,” says Sønsteby.
A Classic: Dr. Hauschka
Another green series that has been on the shelves of health food stores for many years is Dr. Hauschka skin and haircare – a series that includes all of 200 product lines. These are 100 percent pure and natural cosmetics, and Validus can show a steady increase in sales.
